Six AKDHC Physicians were recognized as Top Doctors in Nephrology & Hypertension by their peers as published in PHOENIX Magazine for 2026
Congratulations to Dr. Katharine Dahl, Dr. Sachin Desai, Dr. Sungchun Lee, Dr. Alejandro Morales, Dr. Esmat Mustafa and Dr. Ann Thomas on their distinguished recognition as Phoneix’s “Top Doctors” in 2026. This honor, bestowed by their fellow physicians, reflects their exceptional standing as leading nephrologists in the region.
Every year, PHOENIX magazine obtains the names and addresses of all Valley physicians from their respective medical boards. Postcards are mailed to each physician alerting them to the upcoming online Top Doctors vote. The confidential survey asks the doctors to nominate peers who, in their judgment, are the best in each of 63 specialties. The votes are screened for duplicates and tallied. PHOENIX magazine then select a vote threshold for each field – typically the top 5 to 10 percent of vote-getters in each specialty.
